Active control of vibrations using generalised PI control: An application to a non-linear mechanical system

We present an application of Generalised PI control to the problem of active control of vibrations. We consider particularly a non-linear mechanical system, represented by a controlled Duffing's equation, disturbed by a forcing harmonic signal with unknown amplitude and frequency. Some numerical simulations illustrate the performance and empirical robustness of the proposed control law.
