A single-trim CMOS bandgap reference with a 3σ inaccuracy of ±0.15% from -40°C to 125°C

This paper describes a CMOS bandgap reference with an inaccuracy of ±0.15% (3σ) from −40°C to 125°C. This level of performance, previously only achieved by trimming at two or more temperatures [1, 2], was obtained by using chopping and curvature correction to minimize non-PTAT (proportional-to-absolute-temperature) errors, and canceling residual PTAT errors with a single room-temperature trim.
