Microwave zeroth-order resonance antenna loaded with a pair of DPS and ENG materials

In this paper, a compact microstrip antenna using composite materials is proposed. Cavity model is used to analyse the propoties of this antenna loaded with a transversally inhomogeneous Substrate. Subsequently, a structure of this antenna which is realized by microstrip and short pins is proposed. FEM-based simulation results also show that this antenna not only has zeroth-order resonance property but also its radiation like patch antenna's which is different from common zeroth-order resonance antenna.
