Interactive Modeling of Supply Restoration Procedures in Distribution System Operation

Interactive modeling techniques are presented which have been developed to detect and analyze the available switching procedures that can restore the supply to the system load-points following the occurrence of a system abnormality. These techniques recognize practical operating features of distribution systems and can be used by system operators to decide the most appropriate procedures to be executed. The increased and more meaningful information of distribution system operation that can be gained from these techniques is illustrated by the analysis of a 150 kV/20 kV system based on a real Greek distribution system. >
