Modeling and Analysis of Anchored Performance of Anchorage of Filled Epoxy-coated Strand with Finite Element Method

In order to solve the problem of matching between the cone angle of anchor head and that of wedge in the design of anchorage of filled epoxy-coated strand(FECS),finite element modeling and analysis on anchorage of FECS was conducted with ANSYS software. The stress, deformation and pressure were calculated while the cone angle of the anchor head is equal to and 10′ less than that of wedge. The influences on anchored performance were analyzed. The results show that(1)when the cone angle of the anchor head equal to that of wedge, the Von Mises stress and radial stress in the root of wedge, and the pressure between the anchor head and the wedge are very large, cut effect appears, and anchored efficiency is less than 95%,which fails to reach anchored requirement;(2)while the cone angle of the anchor head is 10′ less than that of wedge, the above values decrease at large scale, cut effect does not appear, and anchored efficiency greatly exceeded 95%,which meets the demand of anchored performance completely. The influences of the coefficient of friction between the anchor head and the wedge on the force acted on anchor head and anchored performance were also analyzed, which provides a reference for the design and manufacture of the anchorage.
