Resolving targets using space-time snapshot based on GLRT algorithm

Around the space-time snapshot signal model of the array antenna radar receiver, this paper presents a small interval (less than the limit of Rayleigh resolution) target resolution algorithm, and the limit of space-time two-dimensional (2D) resolution. According to statistical detection theories, it presents a local optimum detection strategy based on generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) to detect the existence of one single target or two close to each ( whether there is one single target of two contained in echoes). Meanwhile, through the performance analysis of the proposed detector, we deduce the explicit relationship between the space-time 2D parameter difference of the minimum resolution and the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The forecast and real performance of the presented detector is verified by Monte-Carlo simulation and the performance of resolving ability is compared with 2D MUSIC approach.
