The Experiment Research on the MAV Aerodynamics Character Effected by Planforms

The fixed-wing micro aircraft vehicles(MAV),which works under a low Reynolds number,have encountered certain kinds of aerodynamics problem.Different scales models of rectangular wings,mixed wings,trapezoid wings,Zimmerman wings and inversed Zimmerman wings were designed and force measuring experiment has been carried out in D6 wind tunnel in BUAA.Compared aerodynamics characters of those model,this paper points out that mixed wings,trapezoid wings and Zimmerman wings benefit from the leading edge vortex and have a good performance on lift character.The vortex,which improves the lift performance under the large attack angle,is strengthened on the low aspect wings.Large sweepback angle of trapezoid wing has a high stall angle.
