Target detection simulation of coherence ladar with adaptive feature-based fusion

Target detection techniques play an important role in automatic target recognition(ATR)systems. In this paper, the feature-based fusion method is exploited which is put forward by U.S.Army Research Laboratory to coherence ladar intensity image in order to improve the exactness of finding target centre.Four features which are composed of Maximum Grey Level,Contrast,Average Gradient Strength and Local Variation are used to locate the target centre.Contrasting with the centroid estimator, the experimental results using the fusion method demonstrate the higher precision and stabilization.
