Model reference fuzzy control

Consideration is given to a fuzzy logic controller for linear systems. A fuzzy rule base is used to stabilize a closed-loop system consisting of a linguistic controller and a process. By utilizing a reference model, impulse-like control inputs can be avoided. A generic guideline for building a control rule base is developed, and membership functions for linguistic variables are chosen to be S, Pi , and Z functions. The rules guarantee asymptotic stability. Simulation results show the robustness and convergence of the proposed symbolic controller.<<ETX>>
