The fundamental principle of crack identification based on continuous wavelet transform was applied to the spatial-frequency analysis of the cracked cantilever cylindrical shell structures.The crack position can be detected exactly by multi-resolution analysis and continuous wavelet transform of the first four mode shapes in spatial domain using sym4 wavelet transform,and the effect of noise to the results of recognition was studied.The simulation results illustrated its dependability,and indicated the method can provide reference for practical application.
