Simulation of adhesion control method based on phase-shift

Adhesion control system is an important module of locomotive traction control system. Good adhesion characteristic could improve the traction performance and reduce the slip/skid phenomena. Once the traction force of the electric locomotive exceeds the maximum adhesion force, slip/skip phenomena would happen. In order to obtain the maximum adhesion force, an adhesion control strategy based on phase-shift method via the judgment and control of adhesion characteristic curve ratio is proposed in this paper. The wheel-rail adhesion characteristic is analyzed and equations of locomotive motion are derived. The effectiveness of proposed control method is verified by the simulation.
