Probabilistic analysis of fatigue-life of steel fiber reinforced concrete

The paper presents probabilistic analysis of fatigue-life of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) for various levels of the applied stress. Experiments were conducted to obtain the fatigue lives of SFRC (0.5%) at various stress levels, i.e., 0.85, 0.80, 0. 75 and 0. 70. The study indicates that the probabilistic distribution offatigue life of SFRC depends upon the level of the applied stress and the distribution of fatigue life at a particular stress level, follows the two-parameter Weibull distribution. The distribution parameters of the Weibull probability law have been obtained by the graphical method and the method of moments and compared with those of plain concrete.
