Educational Development Support of University Teachers: Using an Original Conceptual Framework

The purpose of the paper is to present a conceptual framework based on collective expertise that has been developed for three years within an international project. The framework allows for formalized counseling and teaching back-up at university level. It questions the stakes and challenges when developing teaching practices with staff members such as teachers, teaching teams, and heads of departments. It also allows discovery of a number of new approaches for research that are yet to be made in the field of support structures for university teaching.
