Response characteristics of a structure to different frequency components in blasting vibration energy

The effect of blast-induced seism on a structure can be considered as a process of energy transferred and transformed,it relates to the dynamic response of a structure.Based on structural dynamics theory, the response characteristics of a structure to the different energy components with different frequencies of blasting vibration were studied with a typical example. The results showed that the amplification effect of the structure to energy contents with different frequencies was obviously selective.Further, discussion about the safety criterion considering the effect of frequency showed that when the safety criterion for blasting vibration is worked out,it is necessary to consider both characteristics of blast-induced seism and dynamic response characteristics of a structure, and the energy component of blasting vibration which has the same frequency as the natural frequency of the structure must be paid more attention to.
