Study on Two-phase Interleaved ZCT-PWM Buck Converter for Wireless Charging System

Buck converter is widely used for power regulation in wireless charging systems. Aiming at the output of low voltage and high current, a two-phase interleaved ZCT-PWM buck converter has been proposed in this paper, which features the advantages of low switching stress, ripple voltage and current. Firstly, the operating principle of the two-phase interleaved ZCT-PWM buck converter is described considering LCC/S compensation topology of wireless charging system. Then, the achieving conditions and parameters design for ZCS are also discussed. Moreover, the switching stress, ripple voltage and current have been studied and analyzed in comparison with traditional buck converter, respectively. All the simulation results have proved that the two-phase interleaved ZCT-PWM buck converter works well on the application of wireless charging system, especially in the output of low voltage and high current.
