As the complexity of information and communication systems is always increasing, some profound issues on usability rise. Indeed, if we are to truly harness the potential of what technology can provide, we will have to move beyond the inherent limitations of legacy interaction mechanisms. Many researches have been done so far, and the main goal of our project is to design an open and extensible framework for high-level interchange that is built on the standards of modern distributed computing and communication standards. Moreover, to show the feasibility of such an architecture, we have built a sample application, using 2D hand gestures as the input source of data and dynamic graphics as the output action.
