Aeolian sand transport

Since the late 1930s there have been major advances in the understanding of the physical processes involved in aeolian sand transport. Much of the progress can be attributed to research into the theoretical behaviour of particles in fluids. Further successes have resulted through development of the theory by empirical studies conducted both in wind tunnels and through actual field measurements. In this
