A fuzzy integrated calculation policy for the energy consumption of Bluetooth mobile devices

Given the increasing popularity of mobile intelligent devices, Bluetooth mobile applications are currently widely used. This study proposes a fuzzy integrated calculation policy for Bluetooth energy consumption (ECP) during file transmission. During the Bluetooth data transmission cycle, ECP obtains detailed information from the following four key parameters: transmission mode, connection type, packet type, and communication rate. ECP can calculate the data transmission time and energy cost, along with the file size. A simulation test is performed on ECP, and results show that our calculation policy can accurately estimate the energy consumption of the independent Bluetooth communication module. Thus, ECP can guide users in the selection of Bluetooth data transmission.
