Micro-grid formation for resilient power distribution system incorporating distributed generations

Events like power outages, power shortage, inadvertent events initiated by off-normal system operation and disturbances of power/control system elements, lead to islanding of Power System network. The high penetration of renewable distributed sources at distribution level has projected islanding as a major concern which leads to resilient power distribution system. The micro-grids are introduced to reduce the complexity prevailing in low voltage as well as high voltage network with high concentrated load and integrated renewable resources. Intentional islanding operations by formation of micro-grids are done to prevent failures in network. In this paper, Color Petri-Net (CPN) is applied to develop the sequence of switching operations for Islanded micro-grid formation under ill-conditioned system. Additionally, CPN model incorporates conditions that allow token flow which have been used to identify the sequence of switching. Also, in the proposed paper, we consider two player game strategy for optimization where sum of total number of strategies in the game and the number of players is the dimension of the game.
