Neuronal Networks Detecting Movements of Input Signal

Summary Theoretical considerations initiated by electronmicroscopic and physiological observations are presented dealing with neuronal network requirements of movement perception. Networks occurring in subcortical parts of mammalian visual system proved to be necessary and sufficient for detecting movements of input. Such networks are supposed to compute special logical auto- and crosscorrelative functions whose a general form is introduced to describe movement perception.
