Co-channel interference restraining for passive radar with illuminators of opportunity based on ICA

For passive radar with illuminators of opportunity such as broadcast station it is a difficult problem to restrain interference of other broadcast stations' co-channel signals. The conventional frequency domain and spatial domain processing can not deal with it effectively. The blind signal separation is introduced to resolve this problem. Fixed-point independent component analysis is applied to measured data. Several factors are analyzed which are related the interference restraining effect. The processing results show it is effective to improve target detection performance and applicability for complicated broadcast environment.
