The Summarization of the Features and Creative Ideas of Safety Assessment of the In-service Pressure Vessels with Defects

The safety assessment of the pressure vessel and pressure pipe is an integrative technology with highly engineering characteristics.The national standard,Safety Assessment of the in-service pressure vessels with defects(GB/T 19624—2004),was established on the basis of the related research achievements and engineering experience obtained in China.In this paper,the features and creative ideas of this standard was introduced briefly.The application of the standard will bring great social and economic benefits due to the advanced technology in this respect.
