Indications for CAS (Computer Assisted Surgery) Systems as Navigation Aid in ENT-Surgery

Computer assisted surgery (CAS) is a new surgical technique. It incorporates computerized planning tools [8,9] and intraoperative navigation aids into classical open surgery, endoscopical surgery, microsurgery or stereotactic procedures. Its objective is to render surgery safer and less invasive.
