Tapped inductor technology based DC-DC converter

A converter having a tapped inductor to facilitate controlling operating characteristics of the converter. This paper present a tapped inductor technology based DC-DC converter which is an integration of buck and boost converter via tapped inductor. Coherent working from stepping down to stepping up can be achieved by proper control scheme. This paper presents comparison of conventional converters and tapped inductor technology based converters. Also includes detailed working of tapped inductor technology based buck-boost converter.
