New load flow technique based on load transfer and load buses elimination

A new load flow methodology based on load transfer and load buses elimination is proposed in this paper. The iteration number and calculation time of the proposed algorithm have been compared with different load flow methods such as Newton-Raphson (NR), fast-decoupled (FD) and a bus elimination (BE) method, with respect to different load characteristics and different system R/X ratios. Simulation result shows that the proposed method is as fast as FD and much faster than NR and BE in general. Moreover, a definite advantage over FD is that the convergence of the proposed technique is not affected by the R/X ratio of the system and accurate load characteristics can be modeled.
