A novel two-dimension simplified subcarrier allocation with fairness for multiuser MIMO-OFDM transmission

In this paper, a real-time subcarrier allocation algorithm with fair consideration is proposed based on simplification at both antenna dimension and frequency dimension. By knowing the channel characteristic of all users, our goal is to assign subcarriers to each user fairly and reduce computational complexity with requirement of minimizing the overall transmit power subject to the proportional rate constraints. Simulation results show that our proposed algorithm presents fairness in subcarrier allocation and outperform none antenna-dimension employed multiuser MIMO-OFDM transmission with significant computational complexity reduction.
