The Practice of Law at the Brigade Combat Team (BCT): Boneyards, Hitting for the Cycle, and All Aspects of a Full Spectrum Practice

The practice of law in a deployed unit is unique. The purpose of this article is to provide the Army Judge Advocate community with a survey of the legal issues in the Iraq theater of operations. This article focuses on deployment-specific issues that Brigade Judge Advocates frequently encountered and will likely encounter in the future. Particular emphasis is given to Operation Iraqi Freedom fragmentary orders (FRAGOs), policy letters, and other official guidance.
