The Stress Analysis of PDC Drill Bits in the Process of Drilling

In order to calculate the stress of PDC bit more accurately in the process of drilling,it is needed to simulate the wear of PDC bit after a period of wear.The structure and force of PDC bit were analyzed by using the space geometry and numerical theory. The stress change of PDC bit under different wear situation was analyzed,the force equation of the PDC bit was derived.To consider drill crown shape,the layout of cutting teeth,the working angle,shape and size of the cutting teeth,the interaction between the teeth, the numerical calculation method between the wear and cutting area,cutting volume,cutting arc length,and other cutting parameters was presented,which can be used to estimate the working hours of the PDC bits.
