Bridging the gap between Citizen and Administration

A large number of studies have addressed the problem of the gap between citizen and the administration. With the advent of the Internet, governmental organisations have begun incorporating this new medium for its service delivery. At the same time we see a number of governmental organisations experiment with community building initiatives through online communication techniques. Using case material we would like to contrast and compare these two E-Government design approaches and try to elaborate on typical opportunities and pitfalls.
