On Regulation of Urban Runoff Pollution Abatement

A new regulation and storage mode, which the higher concentration initial rainwater is intercepted to the reservoir and sewage treatment plant, and the river self-purification capacity to treat the lower concentration initial rainwater is applied as a supplement way. The range of interceptive time and storage principle in the different rainfall patterns and different return periods is studied by considering the effect of the initial rainwater on river water quality. It is shown that the new regulation and storage system improve the interceptive effect. The effectiveness of urban runoff pollution control system is proved.
