The purpose of this study is to derive the steady-state cornering equation, which has a good coherence with vehicle's understeer/oversteer characteristics at high lateral acceleration region as well as low lateral acceleration region. To account for the non-linearity at high lateral acceleration region, tire cornering force saturation and lateral load transfer are taken into consideration. To verify the derived steady-state cornering equation, a skid pad test was earned out with a passenger vehicle.
