The wide-area H∞ control for the control system of hydroelectric generator is studied;the method and step of designing H∞ controller by linear matrix inequality(LMI) technique is discussed.Besides the influence of time-delay,uncertain factors of external perturbations and modeling error are considered.For an example,the H∞ controller of the control system for hydroelectric generator connected to distant power system with time-delay of wide-area measurement system(WAMS) is designed.The results of simulation and analysis demonstrate that the controller can endure the time-delay,restrain external interference and maintain the dynamic stability of power system.
