Optimal Design for Pick Arrangement Parameters on Cutting Head of Roadheader Based on Minimum Load fluctuation

On the basis of mechanics model and formula of single pick, the calculating method of load fluctuation acting on cutting head during swing cutting is achieved. By the analysis of pick arrangement parameters influenced on the load acting on cutting head, the strategy is presented to depress the load fluctuation. And the mathematic model of optimal design for pick arrangement parameters based on minimum load fluctuation is built. A relevant optimal design program is developed by mean of series quadratic programming(SQP). Finally pick arrangement parameters of certain type roadheader is optimized. The statistic comparison before and after optimization shows that the load fluctuation of cutting head is evidently reduced, which increases working reliability of roadheader.
