Comments on 'Anomalous behavior of receiver output SNR as a predictor of signal detection performance exemplified for quadratic receivers and incoherent fading Gaussian channels' by W. A. Gardner

The generalized measure of receiver output signal-to-noise ratio proposed in the subject correspondence includes several conventional measures as special cases. One useful, if unconventional, measure not included is reviewed.
