Genetic algorithm for underwater sensors array DOA estimation

A genetic algorithm is used for Direction of Arrival(DOA) estimation of underwater sensors array in this paper.The new method is proposed to prove fitness evaluation function of genetic algorithm getting maximum value at the point of signal's array manifold.Computational complexity of genetic algorithm is larger than MUSIC,less than DML.Simulations show the genetic algorithm has ability to distinguish coherent sources,whose performance of angle resolution is better than that of MUSIC.Bias and RMSE of genetic algorithm is less than MUSIC in mid and low SNR.
