Assignment of Internal States (Synchronous Systems)

We shall not restate all that was said at the beginning of the last chapter. It is sufficient to recall that assignment represents an important step in the realization of a sequential machine. However, it seems a good idea to insist on the fundamental difference between the problem for synchronous and asynchronous systems.
