An improved optimized resource allocation mechanism for web server grid

Grid is dynamic and heterogeneous collection of resources which are located at remote locations to meet the demand of high performance computing. Resource allocation is complex and challenging issue in Grid environment, in which user submits its job through Grid Broker and Grid Broker selects the suitable resource for it. This paper discusses a resource allocation algorithm for heterogeneous jobs submitted by user with set of constraints. Two main metrics are majorly considered in this paper-resource cost and waiting time. The proposed algorithm selects a resource which has least cost, and also reduces the waiting time of each process from the user point of view.
