An example of bivariate interpolation with translates of C0-quadratic box-splines on a three direction mesh

Abstract Box-spline interpolation on a finite bounded region can be used to model a pipe-bend. We apply translates of a quadratic box-spline which is discontinuous in the first derivative across diagonals. This property is utilized to design the pipe-bend.
