Real-time Hand Gesture Tracking For Interactive Game

Hand gesture tracking is an important research topic in HCI (Human Computer Interaction) based display control, digital contents, Interactive game fields, and etc., User interaction is an essential feature in the design of an interactive game. Rather than relying on conventional input devices such as mouse, keyboard, joystick and more advanced devices like touch screen, the human body could potentially serve as an “input device” directly in the form of human interactive input interface, which has become more and more popular in the video game industry. In this paper, we proposed the method of hand gesture as the “input device” for users to directly with the game “Blue Marble” based on hand detection and hand gesture tracking. By using our design, we can control the game deftly and accurately, the experiment results are satisfactory.
