Research on Handover Strategy of Low Orbit Spacecraft Based on Multi-beam GEO Communication Satellite

After analysis on traditional data transmission mode of low-orbit spacecraft, this paper studies the problem of access and handover of low-orbit spacecraft based on GEO communication satellite. In conjunction with the location information of low-orbit spacecraft and the feature of predictable beam dwell time, we proposed a method based on SCPC\MF-TDMA hybrid access and centralized handover detection through comparative analysis of typical multiple access and beam handover mechanism of satellite communication system. The analysis and comparison of handover delay approved that the centralized handover detection of low-orbit spacecraft and resource reservation according to track prediction proposed in this paper can reduce handover delay effectively.
