The Influence of Geometric Parameters of Transition Duct on Exit Pattern Factor of Reverse Flow Annular Combustor

The standard k-e turbulence model is used to study the influence of geometric parameters of transition duct on the exit pattern factor of reverse annular combustor,both for quasi-three-dimension and three-dimension.The results show that,the length of central axis and the area ratio between inlet and outlet of transition duct are of paramount importance on the exit pattern factor of combustor,the effect of pressure-loss factor on exit pattern factor is less important.Furthermore,the correlation between ratio of pattern factor from inlet to outlet of the transition duct and pressure-loss factor,dimensionless length of central axis,area ratio between inlet and outlet of the duct is obtained.The results can be used to guide the design of transition duct of reverse flow annular gas turbine combustors in which exit pattern factor can be satisfying.
