Design of I/O Unit based on MVB Network

Multifunction Vehicle Bus used for vehicle equipment distributed controlling as part of Train Communication Network is a communications technology of real-time,high reliability and high security.A design of intelligent I/O unit based on MVB is given as a convenient method for the realization of on-board devices connected to the MVB network.The structure of the intelligence unit is designed as a modular with embedded technology of which the microcontroller board,MVB network interface unit and the I/O interface board are connected via the PC104 bus standard.This I/O unit is of versatility that a device can access the train communication network and only by connecting to the unit via the I/O interface.A network communication experiment has been performed in laboratory,which testified the reliability and flexibility of the design.
