Performance of SD-Method Compared with OFDM Method

Suehiro, et al. have proposed a new information transmission method using the Kronecker product between the rows of DFT matrix and the data sequences called SD- method. OFDM(Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) has developed into a popular scheme for wideband digital communication systems. In this paper,we show that OFDM method is special case of SD-method. Using the SD- method we achieve 2.5 times faster transmission speed compare with OFDM under same bandwidth, same transmitter power, same multipath environment, and same bit error probability.
