Holographic Running Reconstruction of MR Images in Phase Scrambled Fourier Imaging Technique

Japan 1. INTRODUCTION In this paper, we propose a running reconstruction of MR images using the optical computation. Since the description of NMR signal in the phase scrambled fourier transform technique[l] is similar to that of the wavefront in Fresnel region in optics, holographic reconstruction of MR images is feasible by using an electrically controlled hologram in the coherent optical imaging system[2][3]. As a partial hologram will form a partial image of the object, the partial signal in &space in the phase scrambled fourier transform technique can reconstruct a localized image of the object[4]. We applied this localized imaging characteristics and the fastness of optical reconstruction to MR imaging system. In this proposed imaging system, since a collected NMR signal is converted into hologram at once as soon as they are acquired, the reconstructed image always contains the latest information of the object, and we can observe an animated image when object is moving.
