Cet article retrace les principales actions menees par la Coalition Nationale des Femmes (Women National Coalition, WNC) en Afrique du Sud durant la periode de transition a la democratie. L'article decrit comment les interets des femmes ont ete defendus par la WNC en matiere de participation politique avec, en point d'orgue, l'inscription de l'egalite des sexes dans la Constitution
