Study on rapid acquisition technology for inter-satellite optical communications

In beaconless acquisition of satellite optical communication, beam divergence angle of communication laser is small and it is hard to acquire the optical communication terminal. Therefore, the point ahead fine steering mirror in pointing, acquisition and tracking subsystem is used to scan the field of uncertainty to acquire the optical communication terminal. Firstly, a variety of factors which affect acquisition are modeled theoretically. Especially, two acquisition mode, including parallel processing acquisition mode and serial processing acquisition mode, are analyzed separately,and the field of uncertainty is optimized to reduce acquisition time.
