Sioux beaded Neckties

In a previous issue of Whispering Wind [Green 2008], this author presented an article on the subject of beaded collar and neckties and their distribution among various Northern Plains and Plateau groups, as well as further afield. In addition to various period photographs of neckties in use, numerous examples of this innovative fashion accessory were illustrated, attributed to the Blackfoot, Stoney-Assiniboine, and Plains Ojibwa.
