A discrete modulation transfer function for focal plane arrays

Abstract A mathematical method has been developed to characterize discrete devices such as focal plane arrays. It is shown that by using discrete Fourier transform techniques, the previous non-isoplanatic (space variant) problem may be avoided and the analysis of aliasing made easier.
