Accurate loop gain prediction for load DC-DC converters in on-board distributed power systems

This paper presents methods to obtain control loop system performance for load converters in an on-board distributed power system (DPS). It is shown that by proper characterization of "stand-alone" DC-DC converters (prior to being placed in a DPS), it is possible to know control loop performance of each load converter after it is connected to the DPS. A CAD tool has been developed to help in the DPS design. Experimental data verify the proposed approach.
