Effective interactions between a neutron and a proton in high-j orbitals around mass A = 100

Doublet bands associated with neutron 0h11/2 and proton 0g9/2 orbitals in the doubly odd nuclei, 100?106Rh and 98?104Tc, are studied using the quadrupole coupling model. By including multipole interactions as well as the quadrupole interaction between the neutron and the proton, the calculation reproduces well the doublet bands, especially their bandhead states. Effective interactions between the neutron and the proton in the high-j orbitals are extracted through the analysis.
